(Rena Kato)
Rena Kato, born July 10 1997 in Chiba Prefecture, Japan, is a former idol of the
Japanese pop‑rock ensemble AKB48, where she performed with Team A, Team B, and
Team 4. She joined AKB48 as a kenkyūsei trainee in March 2010 and first appeared
on the coupling track "Fruits Snow" from the Chance no Junban single. In 2012
she co‑founded the one‑shot subunit AnRiRe with Anna Iriyama and Rina Kawaei,
releasing the single "Ikujinashi Masquerade" with Rino Sashihara of HKT48. A
