Rein de Graaff, born October 24, 1942, in Groningen, is a Dutch jazz pianist known for modern and mainstream jazz. Raised in Veendam, he was strongly influenced by bebop, particularly the music of Bud Powell, and began performing in school and military bands. After moving to Amsterdam in 1964, he formed a long-running quartet with saxophonist Dick Vennik, later joined by drummer Eric Ineke and bassist Koos Serierse.
