Noble Ray Price, born on January 12, 1926, near Perryville, Wood County, Texas, was an American country music singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He began his musical journey as a teenager, singing and playing guitar while attending North Texas Agricultural College. After serving in the United States Marine Corps during World War II, Ray Price started his radio career on KRBC's Hillbilly Circus in 1948.
