Raúl Garello
Raúl Miguel Garello was an Argentine bandoneonist, director, composer, and
arranger dedicated to tango music. Born on January 3, 1936, in Chacabuco, Buenos
Aires Province, Argentina, Garello studied harmony, fugue, and counterpoint
under Juan Schultis and Pedro Rubione. At age 18, Garello joined the resident
orchestra of Radio Belgrano. His career included playing with orchestras led by
Carlos Dante, Alberto Morán, and Horacio Salgán, before joining the orchestra of
Aníbal Troilo in 1963 as both a bandoneonist and arranger. Garello released
