Rare were a Northern Irish electronic ensemble from Derry established in 1990.
The group consisted of the musicians Mary Gallagher, Locky Morris, Seán Ó'Néill,
and David Whiteside. They achieved professional recognition for a musical style
characterized as trip hop. Ó'Néill achieved professional recognition for
performing as a member of the ensemble The Undertones and the ensemble That
Petrol Emotion. Their recording career began with the song “Set Me on Fire”
(1990) released on the label Setanta Records. The ensemble achieved professional
