Ranee Lee
Ranee Lee, born 26 October 1942 in Brooklyn, New York, is an American jazz
singer who relocated to Montreal in 1970. In 1984, she released Live at Le Bijou
release, followed by Deep Song (1989) and The Musicals: Jazz on Broadway (1992).
Lee continued to record annually with Justin Time, producing I Thought About You
(1994), You Must Believe in Swing (1996), Seasons of Love (1997), and Presents
Dark Divas (2000). She received the Order of Canada in 2006 and the
International Association of Jazz Educators awards. Her 2009 album Lives
Upstairs earned a 2010 Juno Award for Vocal Jazz...
