Randy (born Randy Ariel Ortiz Acevedo, July 16, 1983, San Juan) is a Puerto
Rican singer, rapper, and songwriter who rose from the island’s underground
mixtape circuit as one half of the reggaetón duo Jowell & Randy, breaking
internationally through the collective Casa de Leones in 2007 and the duo’s
early albums Los Más Sueltos del Reggaetón (2007) and El Momento (2010). While
sustaining the duo’s momentum across collaborations with stars from Wisin &
Yandel to Bad Bunny, he developed a parallel solo lane that leaned into R&B and
romantic pop; the full-length Roses & Wine (2015)...
