Ramses Shaffy
Ramses Shaffy, born on August 29, 1933 in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, was a
Dutch-French singer. In 1964, he founded the theatre group Shaffy Chantant,
collaborating with Liesbeth List and Louis van Dijk. Notable songs include
"Zing, vecht, huil, bid, lach, werk en bewonder" and "We zullen doorgaan". He
released the album Shaffy Chantant (1966). He passed away on December 1, 2009,
aged 76, due to esophageal cancer.
