Ramesh Vinayakam, born Ramasubramaniam on July 7, 1963, is a composer, arranger, singer, and music researcher. He studied Carnatic music under Rukmini Ramani and Western classical music under Jacob John, earning a diploma from Trinity College, London. He began his composing career with the devotional album Prathidhvani (1986), and debuted as a film music director with the Telugu film Paila Pacheesu (1989).
