Ojārs Raimonds Pauls is a Latvian composer and pianist from Riga, Latvia. He
started piano lessons after being deemed too young for violin training, and by
the age of 14, he performed in restaurants and clubs. His compositions were
performed by notable singers such as Alla Pugacheva and Valery Leontyev. He
