Rafael Amor
Rafael Amor was born on November 5, 1948, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and was an
Argentine singer-songwriter and poet. Raised in Belgrano, his father sang in
Francisco Canaro’s orchestra and his mother was a noted embroiderer. In 1966, he
joined the folkloric trio Los Norteños, performing across Buenos Aires peñas
before turning solo in the late 1960s. Exiled to Spain in 1973 and again after
the 1976 coup, he produced emblematic songs such as "No me llames extranjero"
and "Elegía a un tirano". His album Un directo de amor (En vivo) was released in
