Rafa Pérez, born Rafael Pérez Tortello on September 22, 1984, in Chiriguaná,
Cesar, Colombia, is a prominent vallenato singer who began his musical journey
in the early 2000s. He initially gained recognition as a member of the group
Vallenato Joven and later joined Los Chiches del Vallenato, touring extensively
across Colombia and internationally. In 2004, he became part of Los Diablitos de
Colombia, further solidifying his presence in the vallenato scene. By 2007, Rafa
