Przemysław Adam Gintrowski, born on December 21, 1951, in Poland, was a Polish
musician and singer. He debuted in 1976 at a song contest in Warsaw with
"Epitafio para Sergei Esenin." In 1979, he formed a trio with Jacek Kaczmarski
and Zbigniew Łapiński, launching the poetic program Mury ("The Walls"), which
included the title track "Mury," based on Lluís Llach's "L’Estaca" and became an
anthem for the Solidarity movement. The trio disbanded in 1981 due to martial
