Proud Mary
Proud Mary, an English blues/rock group formed in Manchester in 1998, emerged
from the local music scene with founding members Greg Griffin (lead vocals) and
Paul Newsome (guitar, vocals). Their breakthrough came with the 2001 single "All
Good Things" and "Very Best Friend", which established the band’s reputation for
melodic rock. In 2001 the duo released their debut studio album The Same Old
Blues, produced by Noel Gallagher, and the album’s title track and "Very Best
Friend" became staples on UK radio. The follow‑up Love And Light (2004) featured
collaborations with Andy Rourk...
