Primer 55
Primer 55 is an American nu metal and rap metal band from Memphis, Tennessee,
that formed in 1997. The group was founded by the guitarist Bobby Burns and the
vocalist Jason "J-Sin" Luttrell, whose name for the project referred to
Interstate 55. They achieved a professional breakthrough after signing with
Island Records and releasing the studio album Introduction to Mayhem (2000),
which featured a guest appearance by Jared Gomes. Their second studio recording,
(The) New Release (2001), reached Number 1 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart
