Prem Kumar Gangai Amaren, known professionally as Premgi Amaren, born February 26, 1979, in India, is an Indian singer, composer, and actor. He began his career in the late 1990s and later worked as an assistant and additional music programmer to his cousin, composer Yuvan Shankar Raja. He worked as a playback singer on numerous films, performing the rap portions for tracks such as the club mix of “Loosu Penne” from Vallavan (2006), which he also remixed.
