Pray for the Soul of Betty, often abbreviated as PFTSOB, was a post-grunge hard
rock band from New York City. Formed in 2003, the group consisted of Michael
Hamboussi on drums, João Joya on guitar, Taylor C.R. on bass, and Constantine
Maroulis as lead vocalist. The band's name originated from the death of their
bassist's aunt Betty. After over 150 auditions, Maroulis was added as the lead
vocalist in 2003. PFTSOB gained national attention when Maroulis auditioned for
