Potato are a Spanish reggae ensemble from Vitoria formed in 1984. The group was established by Juan Borikó and Pedro Espinosa. They achieved professional recognition as pioneers of reggae and Jamaican rhythms in Spain, incorporating styles including ska, rocksteady, and roots. Their recording career began with the debut studio recording Potato & Tijuana in Blue (1986). Their discography includes the studio recordings Punky, Reggae, Party (1987), Erre que erre (1990), and Crónicas de puerto sin más (1993). Borikó died in 2006.
