Ping Ping (* 1923 in Suriname, then Dutch Guiana; ✝ September 21, 1983) is a
singer from the early transitional period between rock 'n' roll and beat. Eddy
Helder, his real name, appeared on the European music market in the early 1960s
and became known above all for the song "Sucu Sucu", which spread
internationally in several versions and interpretations. Ping Ping began his
musical career outside Europe. He initially worked as a musician in various
contexts and later performed in Europe. Only fragmentary information is
