Pillar
Pillar is an American Christian rock band formed in Hays, Kansas, in 1998, and
later based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The group initially consisted of Fort Hays State
University roommates who released their first album, Metamorphosis,
independently through Shadrach Records in 1999. The band's breakthrough came
with the release of the single "Open Your Eyes" (2000) from their major label
debut, Above (2000). The album won a Dove Award for Hard Music Album of the Year
in 2001, and the single received a nomination for Hard Music Recorded Song of
