Pierre Hugues José
Pierre Hugues José, often abbreviated PHJ, is a French rapper from Vesoul
(Haute-Saône), born around 1990 under the name Jordy Blanc. Trained as a
scientist, he obtained two masters degrees and a doctorate in neuroscience,
working on neuroimaging. A neuroscience researcher, he has also been pursuing a
musical career under the name Pierre Hugues José since 2019. With a phrasing
tinged with his Franc-Comtois accent, PHJ asserts his vocal identity against the
