Phillipa Soo
Actress and singer Phillipa Soo was born on May 31, 1990 in Libertyville,
Illinois. She is best known for her Tony Award nominated role as Eliza Hamilton
in the hit Broadway musical Hamilton, a role that she originated. She’s also
known for playing Amélie in the Broadway musical of the same name. Before she
began her performing career, she graduated from Libertyville High School (in
suburban Chicago) in 2008. She then enrolled in The Juliard School’s acting
program, graduating in 2012. She auditioned for the Ars Nova’s production of
Dave Malloy’s Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet...
