Petr Spálený, born on March 22, 1944, in Prague, is Czech musician, composer, guitarist, drummer, and singer. He began his career in the late 1950s as an amateur big-beat musician, initially playing drums before adding guitar and flute during his military service. Spálený's breakthrough came when he joined his brother Jan Spálený's band Hipps, later renamed Apollobeat. His first hit song "Plakalo bejby" was recorded during this period.
