Perturbator
James Kent, known professionally as Perturbator, was born on January 22, 1993,
in Paris, France. Son of British music critic Nick Kent and French journalist
Laurence Romance, he began his musical journey as a guitarist in various metal
bands before transitioning to electronic music. In 2011, at the age of 18, Kent
created Perturbator, initially conceptualized as a project producing fake
soundtracks for retro exploitation films. His early releases included I Am the
