Pelle Miljoona
Petri Samuli Tiili, known professionally as Pelle Miljoona, was born on February
10, 1955, in Hamina, Finland, and is a Finnish punk and rock musician. In 1977,
Tiili formed his first band, Pelle Miljoona & N.U.S., releasing their debut
single "Olen työtön" in 1978. That same year saw the release of their
self-titled album. Pelle Miljoona continued to evolve musically and lyrically,
addressing themes such as anti-war sentiments and social critique. In 2014, he
received the City of Helsinki Cultural Prize for his contributions to Finnish
culture.
