Pee Wee Crayton

Crayton learns guitar from T-Bone Walker. Coming to Los Angeles in the late '40s to seek his fortune, Pee Wee quickly scored a number of hits, including "I Love You So". Alongside T-Bone, Lowell Fulson and Gatemouth Brown, he remained one of the best representatives of Texan-Californian blues, where the guitar dominates a brass ensemble inspired by swing orchestras. After a long eclipse during the 60s, Pee Wee returned to the studio in 1980 for several fine albums aimed at the new international white blues audience.
