Pedro Conga
Pedro Conga, born in Humacao, Puerto Rico, is a renowned salsa musician, singer,
and percussionist who has significantly contributed to the genre, particularly
within the substyle known as "salsa erótica." He began his musical journey
accompanying vocalist Justo Betancourt, earning his nickname "Conga" due to his
exceptional conga playing. His talent led him to perform with prominent salsa
figures such as Tito Rojas, Anthony Cruz, and Maelo Ruiz. In 1972, Pedro Conga
