Pavlo
Pavlo Simtikidis, known professionally as Pavlo, was born on June 29, 1969, in
Toronto, Canada. The Greek-Canadian guitarist is the son of Greek immigrants
George and Freda Simtikidis from Kastoria, Greece. Pavlo's career began with a
distinctive Mediterranean sound that blended folkloric styles of Greek, Spanish,
and Latin music with pop sensibilities. His debut album Pavlo was released in
1998 and certified Gold in Canada. This success was followed by the release of
Fantasia in 2000, which also achieved Gold certification and earned a Juno Award
