Pavel Stratan, born on November 11, 1970, in Nișcani, Soviet Union, was a
Moldovan singer known for his folk, pop, and hip hop music. He began performing
with his guitar at school events in 1977 and composed his first songs by 1983.
Stratan's breakthrough came in 2002 with the release of his debut album Amintiri
din copilărie, which sold 50,000 copies in Moldova. He gained further
recognition through radio play on KissFM in Romania, where his song "Eu beu"
