Paulo Braga, also known as Paulinho Braga, was born on November 24, 1942, in
Guarani, Brazil. He began his career in the 1960s as a member of the Berimbau
Trio alongside Milton Nascimento and Wagner Tiso. In the following decade, Braga
joined Antonio Adolfo's ensemble A Brazuca and worked extensively as a studio
musician, collaborating with notable artists such as Elis Regina and Tim Maia.
He is particularly recognized for his work with Tom Jobim, beginning in 1974 on
the album Elis & Tom, and continuing through various projects including Edu &
Tom (1981) and Banda Nova until Job...
