Paula Seling, born December 25, 1978, in Baia Mare, Romania, is a singer and
songwriter. She began playing piano at age six and soon became a soloist in her
school choir. In 1994, she joined the band Enders as a pianist. Seling's early
career included winning several awards, such as the Best Instrumental
Interpreter award at the "Steaua de cristal" Contest in 1995 and opening for
Joan Baez in 1997. Her first album, Albumul De Crăciun, was released in 1997.
