Jamaican dancehall singer Dorothy Smith, known professionally as Patra, was born
on November 22, 1972, in Jamaica. She began her career in the late 1980s under
the stage name Lady Patra. Patra first gained significant attention in the
United States when she featured on Shabba Ranks' "Family Affair", which reached
number 84 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1994. Her debut album, Queen of The Pack,
