Pacifique
When they formed Pacifique in 1988, Stéphane Després and his brother Christophe,
along with singer Cathy Lajous, were all "veterans" of the Toulouse pop-rock
scene. Both brothers were members of the group Images, and Cathy Lajous released
a single on Charles Talar's label. Her first single, "Sous les ailes des
alizés", didn't do very well, despite some radio play. Pacifique left Carrère
for Vogue and reached number four in the Top 50 in 1989 with "Quand tu serres
