Oxo
Oxo was an American dance-rock group from Florida formed in 1983. The band was
founded by Ish Ledesma and included Orlando Nuñez, Frank Garcia, and Freddy
Alwag. Their self-titled debut album, Oxo (1983), reached number 117 on the
Billboard 200. The group achieved recognition with the single “Whirly Girl”
(1983), which reached number 28 on the Billboard Hot 100. Due to conflicts
between management and their record label, the group disbanded in the late
