Orquesta Canela
Orquesta Canela is a Colombian all-female salsa orchestra founded on April 1,
1992, in Cali, Colombia, under the direction of María Fernanda Múnera Ricci. The
14-member group quickly gained recognition, being named the best new salsa
discovery at the 1992 Salsa Festival in Cali and later receiving several awards,
including first prizes for Best Songs and in the all-female orchestra category.
