Orphaned Land
Metal in its various death, symphonic and doom variations readily appropriates
ancient and medieval legends. As Orphaned Land hail from Israel, it's only
natural that they should take an interest in the Abrahamic religions of the Holy
Land. Their unprecedented fusion of Eastern rhythms and metal began with Sahara
(1994), followed by El Norra Alila (1996), and culminated in Mabool in 2004. The
Never Ending Way of ORWarriOR is released in 2010, continuing a work of musical
and philosophical syncretism. All Is One continues the quest in June 2013.
