Scottish songwriter Robert David Shields was born in Renfrewshire and raised in
the Lowlands, where he spent most of his childhood at his parents' farm
overlooking the North Sea. He began making music as a teenager, eventually
signing a publishing deal at 15 years and releasing an independent solo album
shortly thereafter. By 2016, he had rebranded himself as ONR. — pronounced
