Olia Tira
Olia Tira, born Olga Țîra on August 1, 1988, in Potsdam, East Germany, is a
Moldovan singer. Raised in a Soviet military family, she moved to Chișinău and
began performing at festivals and concerts at 14. Her first album, Your Place or
Mine?, was released in December 2006 by Nordika Multimedia, featuring songs
written by Ruslan Taranu. Olia Tira participated in the Moldovan national finals
for the Eurovision Song Contest in 2006, 2007, and 2009, finishing fourth with
"Unicul Meu" in 2009. She was selected to represent Moldova at the Eurovision
Song Contest 2010 alongside SunStrok...
