OCEAN HAI
Ocean Hai, born Hai Mingwei (海鸣威) on 10 July 1982 in Guangzhou, Guangdong,
China, is a Chinese pop singer whose early talent was recognised when he won the
“New Idol” contest in 2000 and became champion of the National Street Dance
contest in 2002. After appearing as a special guest in Jacky Cheung’s music
drama 雪狼湖 in 2005, he signed with Emperor Entertainment Group in 2006 following
a second place finish on CCTV’s 梦想中国. His debut album, Dance Dance Dance, was
