Ö La Palöma Boys was a German pop duo formed in 1999 by taxicab driver Claus
Holtfoth of Hannover and architect Ulrich “Ulli” Ahlers of Freiburg, both
amateurs who met during a local festival. Their breakthrough came in summer 1999
when a satirical video they produced for a fictional Aunt Jutta, featuring the
tune "Paloma Blanca" in a mock Sächsian dialect, was aired on Alles Gute in the
MDR. Television personality Stefan Raab noticed the clip and introduced the duo
