Ñu, a Spanish rock and metal group, was founded by José Carlos Molina‑Ñu in
Madrid in 1974. Their music pioneered Spanish folk metal and notably influenced
Celtas Cortos and Mägo de Oz. After debuting at a local club, the group’s first
single, "Que nadie escape de la evolución / Volando en sociedad", appeared in
1976 without their consent. Ñu followed with Cuentos de ayer y de hoy (1978), A
golpe de látigo (1980), Fuego (1983), and Acorralado por ti (1984). Subsequent
releases included El mensaje del mago (1987), La danza de las mil tierras (1994)
and Yo Estoy Vivo (2023).
