Noun
Noun is the solo musical project of Marissa Paternoster, the lead guitarist of
Screaming Females. Paternoster began recording as Noun in 2004, and a track
appeared on the I Heard This First compilation. She released Forgotten Grin in
2007, a self-released cassette compiling five years of material, which was later
reissued by Don Giovanni Records in 2013. Her first full-length album, Holy
Hell, was released by Don Giovanni Records in 2010. In 2012, she was ranked the
77th-greatest guitarist of all time by SPIN magazine. Her discography includes
the 2012 Noun EP, Throw Your Body on...
