Nolwenn Korbell, born 3 February 1968 in Quimper, France, is a Breton‑French
singer, composer and actress. Raised in Douarnenez in a family that spoke Breton
daily, she learned guitar after her baccalaureate and began performing in local
theater. Her music career launched with the 2003 album N'eo ket echu, whose
Breton tracks earned the Best‑CD Prize at the France 3 Ouest awards and the 2004
Imram honor. In 2006 she released Bemdez c'houloù, adding a traditional Welsh
tune and an English single, and in 2007 followed with Red, recorded with
