Noam Kaniel (August 18, 1962) is an Israeli-French composer, mostly known for
his work with animated TV series. As a child star, Kaniel scored a couple of
hits in his native Israel before emigrating to France upon advice from fellow
Israeli singer Mike Brant. There, he dazzled audiences with his heavenly voice
and the singles “Difficile de choisir,” “Une maman,” and “Lollipop,” released
between 1972 and 1976. But his biggest hit arrived in 1978, when he wrote and
recorded the theme song for Goldorak, the first animated series to be ever
