Nina & Frederik
Nina & Frederik, a Danish–Dutch singing duo consisting of Frederik van Pallandt
and his then-wife Nina van Pallandt, began their musical journey in the late
1950s. Their repertoire blended folk music, calypsos, and standards. The duo
started performing together at house parties and charity shows before making
their professional debut on July 1, 1957, at Copenhagen's Mon Cœur nightclub.
Within months, they gained popularity across Europe and starred in the 1958
Danish film The Richest Girl in the World. Their earliest known single, "Jamaica
Farewell"/"Come Back Liza", was released...
