Niels Samuel Hausgaard was born in 1944 in Hirtshals, Denmark, and began his
career as a singer and songwriter. His breakthrough came in the 1970s with the
album Et Portræt (1974), which established his presence in the Danish folk
scene. Hausgaard released albums such as Til Ane (1975), Men Det Går Jo Nok
(1977), Når Alt Kommer Til Alt (1982), Han Tog Realen Med (1983), Kom Lad Og
Danse (1985), I Fornuftens Land (1991), and En Halv Time Tidligere (1992). His
work earned him awards, including Best TV Entertainment in 2004, the Gelsted
Prize in 2006, and Årets Sangskriver in 2006, ...
