Nicolas Masson
Nicolas Masson, born in 1972 in Geneva, Switzerland, is a saxophonist known for
his contributions to jazz. At age 19, Masson embarked on a six-month journey
across Asia via the Trans-Siberian Railway, culminating in New York where he
studied with notable figures such as Cecil Taylor and Fred Hopkins. Returning to
Geneva, he earned his professional diploma in jazz performance from the Geneva
Conservatory of Music in 2000. From 1991 to 2001, Masson also collaborated with
