Ngoc Ha, born Nguyen Kim Tuyen on December 23, 1980, is a Vietnamese-American
singer known for her powerful mezzo-soprano voice and performances of
folk-inspired and lyrical music. Born in Hoi An, she developed an interest in
singing as a teenager and won several competitions in Vietnam during the 1990s.
She immigrated to the United States in 2000, settling in California and pursuing
a professional music career. In 2002, she made her debut on the Paris By Night
