Newcleus, an American electro and old school hip hop group, was formed in 1977
in Brooklyn, New York. The group initially consisted of teenagers Ben "Cozmo D"
Cenac, Monique Angevin, Pierre "Pete" Angevin, and Yvette "Lady E" Cook. They
started as Jam-On Productions, playing block parties in Brooklyn. Their
breakthrough came with the 12-inch single "Jam-On's Revenge" (released in 1983),
which was retitled "Jam On Revenge (The Wikki-Wikki Song)" and reached number 40
