New Kingston
New Kingston is a Brooklyn-based progressive reggae group formed in 2006 by
brothers Tahir Panton, Courtney Panton Jr., and Stephen Suckarie, with their
father, Courtney Panton Sr., initially playing bass. Drawing on their Jamaican
heritage and New York upbringing, the family band blends reggae with roots,
dancehall, R&B, and hip-hop. After beginning with covers of artists including
Bob Marley and Earth, Wind & Fire, they released their debut album, In the
